Why Extraction - Not Synthesis - Is the Real Bottleneck in Green Ammonia?

Green hydrogen and renewables are scaling fast. So why isn't green ammonia? The answer lies downstream - at the separation step everyone forgot.

The forgotten step

Most conversations about green ammonia focus on electrolysis and the Haber-Bosch loop. But the real economic chokepoint sits one step further down the line: pulling pure ammonia out of the synthesis loop at modular scale.

At traditional 1,000+ TPD plants, cryogenic condensation works because the energy penalty is amortized across enormous throughput. Shrink that plant by 10 to 100×, and the physics stop cooperating.

Chemistry over pressure

The Sorption Booster takes a different approach. Instead of forcing ammonia to condense by brute-force cooling at 150+ bar, we use staged sorption to chemically capture NH₃ at moderate pressure and temperature.

The result: >99% single-pass extraction efficiency, with CAPEX and OPEX reductions that make sub-100-TPD plants finally bankable.
