Ammonia: The Maritime Fuel of the Decade
Shipping is responsible for ~3% of global emissions. Ammonia - not methanol, not hydrogen - is the most credible path to zero-carbon ocean fuel.
Why ammonia, not hydrogen
Liquid hydrogen needs -253°C storage. Ammonia liquefies at -33°C, has a higher volumetric energy density, and slots into existing port infrastructure with minor retrofits.
The bunkering bottleneck
The industry needs bunkering at hundreds of ports - but no one builds a 1 GW ammonia plant next to a small port. Modular extraction makes <100 TPD plants viable, which is exactly the size that matches port demand.
What we're building toward
Our SB150 and SB1000 units are sized for exactly this profile: regional fuel hubs powered by local renewables, no gigascale grid investment required.
